A message from Autism's Dunya

 

Reflecting on another year of unexpected challenges, we are reminded once again of that classic phrase, “It takes a village.” This phrase is said so often these days that to some it may lose the weight of its truth, but at Autism's Dunya, we understand just how truly profound these words are.

 

We are an organization dedicated to helping shape a world where every family dealing with autism has access to high-quality, research-based help. Our unique programs provide an inclusive environment where families can rely on purposeful techniques to help guide and support their autistic children on the road to independence.

 

Our mission is to empower families with a child on the autism spectrum by creating a positive and inclusive environment through the use of a multidisciplinary approach, resulting in an increased quality of life. Established in 2018, We work together to remove barriers by connecting families with professionals who can help them unlock the tools to find techniques that work, helping them create a better, more independent life for their children. One of the most impactful areas of focus for independence for families managing an autism diagnosis is toilet training. Although this is something most parents struggle with, the struggle is significantly magnified for families when the child is on the autism spectrum.

 

That's why we started the Potty Project, an intensive toilet training program to help children become more independent and equip parents with the knowledge and resources to support them. Once achieved, toilet training is a life-changing skill. It helps the child to become more self-reliant and creates opportunities to participate more fully in social engagements and outings.

Autism’s Dunya's Potty Party program is an intensive therapy focused on building a consistent and positive toilet experience, giving children the skills necessary to be successful in as little as four days! And, although there is a cost associated with the program, we never charge families for our services. That's why we need your help!

 

As we continue to see the need for our services grow, we know we cannot do it alone. Today, I am asking you to partner with us in our efforts to provide this critical program to families at no cost. Your generosity will help us change the dynamic of a family's life and enrich the life of a young person dealing with autism.
