Change the World Model of UN

Dear friends,
We are three students in our last year of high school and we would like to be able to attend the Change the World Model of United Nation this following march in New York. CWMUN is a project aimed to young people who, in the future, want to work in fields related to international organization or diplomacy.
Seeing the opportunity to work on a project that is so transversal and that foments the contact with other young people from around the globe, we would like to carry out this multicultural exchange that, for sure, will be an unparalleled experience. As the future men and women, we believe that it is important to live experiences of an international character that will allow us to observe and understand the world from a more global perspective and that promote peace and respect.
The fact that the congress is held in New York is no coincidence. In this city we can find the main headquarters of the United Nations, a space where representatives from more than 200 countries work in order to build a better future. In this headquarters, topics of incredible importance, such as the Human Rights, climate change, the refugees and gender equality have been discussed.
As we believe in the cooperative funding of projects and in the solidarity of people, we want to fund our project through a crowdfunding campaign. Any donation, no matter how small it is, will help us achieve our goal.

Benvolguts amics,
Som tres alumnes de segon de Batxillerat i el nostre objectiu és poder assistir a la conferència de CWMUN que tindrà lloc el proper mes de març a Nova York. Change the World Model of United Nations és un simulacre de l’Organització de les Nacions Unides orientat a joves que en un futur vulguin desenvolupar tasques de caràcter internacional o relacionades amb l’àmbit de la diplomàcia.
Veient l’oportunitat que suposa poder treballar en un projecte tan transversal i que fomenta el contacte amb altres joves d’arreu del planeta, ens hem proposat aconseguir realitzar aquest intercanvi multicultural que, de ben segur, serà una experiència inigualable. Com a futurs homes i dones del demà, creiem que és important viure experiències de caràcter internacional que ens permetin observar el món des d’una perspectiva global i promoguin ideals tan necessaris com el respecte i la pau.
El fet que el congrés es dugui a terme en una ciutat com Nova York, doncs, no és casualitat. En aquesta ciutat és on es troba la seu principal de les Nacions Unides, aquell espai d’intercanvi de projectes on centenars de representants dels més de 200 països del món treballen per tal de construir un futur digne. En aquesta seu és on s’han debatut aspectes tan importants per la humanitat com ara el Drets Humans, el canvi climàtic, el paper dels refugiats al món o la lluita per la igualtat de gènere.
Com que creiem en el finançament cooperatiu de projectes i la solidaritat entre individus, hem volgut finançar el nostre viatge a través d’una campanya de crowdfunding. Qualsevol donació, per petita que sigui, ens ajudarà a acomplir el nostre repte.
