Along with many of our guests, we believe we have come to a place in the American story that calls for both pushing back AND pushing forward. In each episode of Change the Story , these artists and their community partners have described their strategies, their struggles, and real impacts like: improving healthcare outcomes in Florida and Massachusetts, fighting for justice and healing in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, defeating food apartheid in rural Mississippi, and even closing a crack house in Atlanta.

Over the past four years, we have shared more than 100 stories like these with loyal listeners around the world. Given the subject matter, our stories often combine the audacious and the unexpected with the hilarious and the profound. Along the way, the show has developed an unprocessed attitude, a dynamic rhythm, and an enthusiastic audience.

Now, we want to grow that audience, do more in-depth serial episodes, use our expanding archive to help artists learn about art and social change work, and upgrade our technology.
