<div>Safi is a non-profit providing East African farmers with a<strong> cost-effective</strong> and <strong>accessible pasteurization handle </strong>that kills milk-borne diseases such as brucellosis, mastitis, salmonella, and even MERS, a coronavirus 10x deadlier than COVID-19.
</div>

<div>The device is <strong>compact</strong>, <strong>does not require power </strong>and allows farmers to <strong>easily pasteurize</strong> their daily yield in less than 3 minutes.

<div><em>The mission of Safi is two-fold:</em>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>1. <strong>provide safe drinking milk,</strong> especially to children and pregnant women who rely on milk for essential nutrients
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>2. <strong>help farmers rise out of poverty</strong> through the 58% increased revenues from selling pasteurized milk.

<div>We have just come back from a<strong> field test in Rwanda</strong> this March where we met with farmers, vendors, partners, ministry officials, and regulators!
</div>

</div>
<div>We got incredible reception there, formed partnerships, and are so excited to be <strong>returning in September </strong>to pilot-test our improved prototype. We will also be visiting <strong>Oman and Kenya </strong>to pilot with over 120 farmers and milk vendors.
</div>

<div>To conduct our pilot, we need to <strong>manufacture and assemble 122 handles.</strong> With the cost of every handle at $75, the total required is $10,000 for the parts, manufacturing, and assembly!
