<div>“At dawn in rural Benue, 12‑year‑old Grace slips out of her family’s mud‑brick hut, clutching a tattered notebook and a single pencil. She walks three miles along a dusty path—past fields of cassava and grazing goats—to reach the tiny roofless classroom where she knows her future can be rewritten. But average school fees here are much more than $10 a month—an impossible sum for her family, who scrape by on seasonal harvests. Without your help, Grace’s footsteps will turn back toward chores, early marriage, and a life of unfulfilled promise at the end of this road. With your gift, every step becomes a stride toward literacy, leadership, and hope. at Wavecrest College, where we accept girls from all over Nigeria on full scholarship to become graduates of hospitality at no cost.
