On Thursday, Dec 14, Chane (Will) went to the doctor for a sore throat and chest congestion. Doctors drew blood for analysis and told him to visit MD Anderson for the results. Additional blood work revealed acute mono-cytic leukemia.
After spending the weekend in the hospital to fight off the infection, and begin light chemotherapy, he is undergoing biopsy today (Dec 18) to get a complete diagnosis and learn the stage and severity of the cancer.
Chane (William) Anderson is a young at heart 35yr old with two children ages 5 and 4. Chane has comitted himself to the most rigorous treatments available pledging his desire to "see my kids grow up" and remains in high spirits.
His wife, Jessica, is taking a no-nonsense approach to the practicalities of undergoing treatment, managing the children and their understanding of events, and ensuring Chane remains in good humor.
As primary care-giver Jessica will take on the additional duty of keeping the family finances afloat while Chane is out of work, and she has already taken the first steps to ensure that the medical situation does not develop into an economic disaster for the family.
To that end, all of Chane and Jessica's family and friends are uniting to provide both finiancial and practical assistance in this crucial time. While the long-term costs of care are formidable, immediate funds are necessary ensure the continuity of daily and weekly necessities like housing, groceries, and transportation and any amount will help.
