Chance Ray Recovery

Donation protected
In the early morning of July 30th my nephew, Chance Ray, was a passenger involved in a serious rollover crash along with 2 of his friends and his girlfriend. Like most teenagers do during summer vacation, they went on a camping adventure and were heading home at the time of the accident. Chance and his girlfriend were riding in the backseat of the car asleep and not wearing their seatbelts when the accident happened. Chance sustained a life threatening injury to an artery in his arm which caused him to loose a substantial amount of blood. Thankfully a state trooper was on seen before the paramedics arrived and applied a tourniquet to Chances arm that helped to save his life.  There's no doubt that had that trooper not been there, Chance would not have survived. At this time he has had two extensive surgeries to repair the artery that was severed, 7 tendons were reattached, nerve repair, muscle repair, two screws placed and a metal plate. The wound in his arm will require a wound vac to help keep him from getting an infection and in two weeks he will have another surgery to take skin from his leg to do a skin graft on his arm.  His dad and mom have been told he will need additional surgeries of the next couple of months, plastic surgery, physical therapy and therapy to help deal with the emotional trauma as well.  It is unknown if he will have full use of his arm and that is a very scary thing for a lively teenage boy to have to process.

His dad has recently started a business and is the sole income for the family. All of Chances recovery and required assistance to care for him means Luke will not be able to work. He is a proud man, one who would never ask for a hand out...only a hand up. All the funds donated to this go fund me account would be going directly to Luke to assist with medical bills, living expenses, gas, food, rent and basic needs to care for Chance. If you can donate even $5, every little bit will help them not have to worry about bills and focus on getting my Chancer Man healed...mentally and physically.
