A fighting Chance

November 14, 2020 has shaken our family to it’s core.  After laying 3 month old Chance down for his typical morning nap Bre went in to check on him a little while later. As soon as she turned into the room she witnessed every mother’s worst fear. Her baby boy was completely blue.

Without hesitation, she immediately started infant CPR on Chance and got him to take a few breaths before EMS arrived. 

Chance has since been at Wesley PICU and with the amazing help of our nurses and physicians, fighting to get better! Due to the lack of oxygen, he has been struggling with seizures and a few spots of brain damage. He is currently still on the ventilator but is improving a little bit more everyday. 

Based on the physicians findings, Chance would have suffered from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). If not for Bre's knowledge of infant CPR, there is no telling if our sweet boy would be alive today. If you don’t know CPR, LEARN IT! Especially if you have young children. It could potentially save their life!

We are creating this GoFundMe to help Bre and Chris during this extremely difficult time. The funds raised will be put towards rent, bills, a new vehicle (because their car broke down over the weekend), and whatever necessary items Bre and Chris will need to provide for Chance once he leaves the hospital.
