Champ The Rescue Dog

Donation protected
Dear Friends and our Rescue Families,

This fund is to help cover only some of Champs medical costs (Wheelchair, Neuorology, Orthopedic and Diagnostics)  We have been doing a wonderful job and have had many Donations that are beyond generous, we still need more donors thou, so please pass along this page on FB, Twitter, Instagram and help us raise the funds needed.  Thank you!  Please continue to read below for more information on Champs Journey from Egypt to the USA.

Champ at the age of 3 months was found on the roadside in Egypt, apparently hit by a car and abandoned. He was found emaciated, degloved, paralegic and parasite-ridden. Kind people saw the Love in this tiny broken puppy and flew him to the USA for  care.

He was picked up by Doberman Rescue Unlimited (DRU) and the Fremont Animal Hospital where Champ lived and healed under the care of Dr. A until he was 10 months old.  We reached out to DRU and asked to foster this fur baby's first time living with a family.

(Check out "Champ the Rescue Dog" on Facebook for photos and videos of his adventures!  Enjoy his first TV show and first trip to the beach!)
BTW: He has no idea that he's paraplegic - he is the happiest soul and an inspirational spirit.

This foster baby drew an amazing audience and we thank you all!!  Out of the wonder, his adoptive parents appeared. She a nurse , he a USA veteran called for a meeting. It was Love at First Sight!!

Champ's joie de vive is infectious and as he continues to grow ( <3 big and strong playing with his Dobie sister Hexe!), his adoptive parents realized his need for a bigger wheelchair, one that could accommodate his growth spurt.  They are also having a prosthetic sled made so he can be a 'dog on the ground' without tearing up his legs and opening him up to infection.  To this end, they've made an appointment to have him examined by a neurologist, who will help advise how his prosthetic should be made given his healed wounds.

All of these wonderful people have done amazing things for Champ. His adoptive family welcomed a one of a kind soul, an amazing dog and acknowledge the substantial expense parenting a paraplegic pup takes.
We have preliminary quotes for his wheelchair, his prosthetic skid and the neurologist visit, Orthopedic visit and we are asking for your help in making this happen for Champ.

Thank you!
His adoptive parents,
