Hello, I am starting this Go Fund Me account because several members of the Chambers family lost their homes in the Camp fire and left the area with only the clothes on their back.
Along with so many that have been affected by this devastation, they are in need of funds for the basics as they remain in temporary living quarters and try to recover.
Kristin Chambers is my cousin and she will add her comments and more definitive information. Kristin and her daughter were evacuated from their home in Chico and are relocated to Hollister where she is looking after and trying to coordinate resources......... for her mother, her uncle, her dear friend and two children and her friend's mother.
Her uncle has Muscular Dystrophy and they were unable to bring any of his equipment - not even his special wheelchair. He has had to be hospitalized just to get his basic care.
In addition to the physical devastation, the emotional toll is great. Having witnessed people trapped in cars exploding in the fire, we can only imagine the mental anguish and nightmares that have ensued for these folks.
This is my first attempt at setting up a go fund me account. I've set a goal of $2,000. to hopefully help with basic needs, ie. food, clothing, toiletries, etc. Any donation you can make is deeply appreciated. No amount is too small - or too big.
