Some challenges in life are not by choice.
Being a disabled child, often both physically as mentally, you are in constant need of help of others. When the facilities are just not there the challenge is even harder. On Curaçao there is the Soeur Hedwig School that provides disabled children with a stable basis, warmth and good education whereby they strive to prepare the children to become as independent as possible.
This school is in need of financial assistance to keep on doing this. We have made this our Challenge to help these children as they simply deserve it! Can we count on you to join us in this challenge?

After many years of actively participating in most of the regional mountainbike competitions we came to the conclusion it was time for a new challenge; the Absa Cape Epic!
The fact that this 11th edition of the Cape Epic, a 800 km off-road race organized in Cape Town, South Africa, is in the top 3 of the worlds most toughest endurance races made it even more of a challenge for us! As there are only 600 spots available to participate it took us two years to receive the fabulous news that we were alotted for the 2014 edition of the race.
As we are two highly addicted mountain bike enthousiasts we enjoy riding our bikes to the fullest. While preparing ourselves for this challenge we realized that there is a special group of young people on Curaçao that does not have this opportunity as they have to deal with their own challenge in life; being disabled. Thats when we decided that we are going to participate to help these children. You will join us in this challenge right?
Every child deserves to play
Since 1945 the Soeur Hedwig School has been the only school for physical and mentally disabled children on Curaçao. The facility they are located in has been on the verge of falling down for years now. Apart from the fact that these children need special care and guidance they need above all education of good quality.
It took the school many years to find funding for the build of a new school building which is being realized as we speak. As there are no funds left for sporting and playing equipment for the children, we have decided to raise funds for this particular goal.
Let's make it our communal goal to give these children a donation of their life!
