Challenger MS College Trips

Over the past couple years, we've visited and spoken to students at Challenger Middle School. After one of these visits, we realized that we can do so much more than just visiting to support the students at Challenger. We brainstormed ideas for what we could do and we kept coming back to the idea that  it would be great to help students see some of the opportunities that are out there for them. How great would it be to take them to visit some colleges? We know college might not be for everyone, but visiting some campuses could help students see bigger possibilities for their lives.

We put a plan together to take 8th grade students at Challenger on a field trip chaperoned by Challenger alumni to a couple colleges in southern California. We have the support of the Wilsona School District superintendent, the Challenger Middle School principal, and several teachers at Challenger. Now we just need the funds to make this a reality.

We would like to secure funding for a bus to take students on a trip in the fall. The cost for a bus is approximately $1,000. We would love to make this an annual trip so any funds raised over $1,000 will be used to secure a bus for following school years.
