Volunteering programme to Cambodia
Donation protected
As some may know I will be taking part in the Challenges Abroad programme through my university (Wolverhampton) to Cambodia for 28 days from 3rd - 31st August 2024. This is something that I have always wanted to do and I am extremely excited and humbled to be able to be a part of this incredible opportunity.
I will be volunteering in local schools within the Battambang community delivering educational workshops based on basic hygiene, sanitation practices, clean water education, sexual health, female health, disease transmission and prevention, and habits for a healthy lifestyle.
A lack of knowledge within these communities on basic hygiene and sanitation practices causes a lot of unnecessary illnesses and places a huge burden on their under-resourced hospital, so I feel privileged to be able to help provide education and help within the community.
To successfully be able to undertake this amazing volunteering opportunity I need to raise £3,500 to fund my trip. I kindly ask for any donations towards making this opportunity a reality to help make an impact on families and young people’s lives. A donation as little as £1 would be so greatly appreciated. I understand times are incredibly difficult at the moment and so If you are unable to donate, then I would also greatly appreciate a share of my post.
Thank you for taking the time out to read this and I look forward to sharing and documenting my trip with you all.
