Chair Lift for Kerry Goode's Stairs

Kerry Goode is a friend of mine from my days at the University of Alabama. He was a star football player for the Crimson Tide back then, and after college, Kerry went on to play and coach in the NFL for almost a decade. He  learned that he has ALS ,  or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis - a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord, a couple of years ago. Kerry has handled being afflicted with this horrible disease with the most amazing, positive attitude, and he has become an inspiration to all of those who know him and to many who don't.  Every day since his diagnosis, he posts beautiful, thought-provoking messages about living life to its fullest and being thankful for each and every day he is given on this Earth. He has a beautiful wife and loving children, and they have tried to maintain a normalcy in their daily living.  In the past year, Kerry had to stop working due to the disease, and he has been in a wheelchair and on oxygen for a while.  He now no longer can make it up the stairs to his bedroom at night. He needs our help to continue to live his life with dignity and ease.
The goal of this campaign is to quickly raise enough money to cover the purchase and installation of a Chairlift to get Kerry up and down the stairs at his house.
