My name is Chad Fess. For 20 years of my life I have suffered from debilitating Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I've been a prisoner of my own mind. My life was on the brink of total ruin until 18 months ago when I sat down and learned to meditate. From that moment on my OCD has gone into remission. (See the links at the bottom for an insight into my battles with OCD).
In my experience meditation has done wonders for my mental and physical health and I would like to help others.
I have a chance to further my career by becoming a certified meditation teacher. I would learn all the different forms of meditation and levels of healing. This would allow me to legitimately help others find balance and peace: my true goal. However, to attain this I need help paying for the courses and expenses.
The two organizations I would be attending for my studies are The Meditation Kriya Yoga Center and The Reiki Sat Nam Yoga Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Kriya yoga offers the meditation teacher certificate which includes learning Sanskrit, Mudras, all Mantras, Buddhist and Yogic forms of meditation, etc.
This is something I strongly and passionately believe in. From a scientific point of view, meditation is becoming one of the best viable options for reducing stress and bringing about a healthier lifestyle and general sense of well-being.
Meditation has changed my life and opened the prison doors of my mind. Please help me continue my studies so that I may be better able to help as many people as I can. Thank you so very much!
