Chad has been invited to join the EPIC5 challenge in May of 2017. EPIC5 is an endurance event consisting of five Iron distance triathlons, on five Hawaiian islands, five days in a row. Each day Chad will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles: a journey covering 703 total miles that will put both body and mind to the ultimate test.
This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Chad will be one of 13 athletes from around the world to attempt the 2017 EPIC5 challenge. The challenge, founded in 2010, has only been completed ten times. Chad has been given the opportunity to undertake a feat accomplished by only eight men in the world before him.
Chad has impacted many of us. He's taken many people under his wing, helping them to find their stride in the multi-sport world. Selflessly offering his free time to teach someone to swim or provide extra encouragement to reach for one more mile on a run. His generosity extends far beyond the race course too, doing whatever he can to help while expecting nothing in return. He's counsel, mentor and friend to many and has inspired countless more through his many athletic accomplishments. Most notably, his recent finish at Ultraman Florida, a three-day endurance triathlon.
