Chad Simon Memorial Fund

Donation protected
My brother, Chad Simon, was taken from this world all too soon on October 22, 2016 in a UTV accident near his home in Dundurn, SK. This tragedy has been felt deeply: my parents lost a son, my sister and I lost our brother, Chad’s wife lost her soulmate, and many lost a true friend.

Chad and Shan, his wife, were the loves of each other’s lives and had big dreams that they were making happen. Chad was a fun-loving and charismatic person who filled up a room with his amazing personality: he had a presence about him that was generous, energetic, and genuine. Always the first person to help someone in need, Chad was willing to lend a hand in whatever way he could. Chad valued his family and friends as much as they valued and loved him in return. Chad may have been my little brother, but I looked up to him because of the truly remarkable and giving person he was.

Chad split his time between his home with Shan, and his work on the Pipeline. Chad enjoyed working on the pipeline because it was a job that took him all over Western Canada and introduced him people who quickly became friends. To his Ledcor pipeline family, Chad was a beloved co-worker, mentor, friend, and to some an idol.

On behalf of the whole Simon Family, I would like to thank everyone for their condolences during this difficult time; we ask that you support our family and honour Chad’s life by contributing to a memorial fund set up in his name. Any donation you are willing to give is appreciated: all money raised will be given to Chad Simon’s family in order to help cover family expenses and travel for the family to say their final goodbye.

Chad will be truly and deeply missed by all that knew him: the world lost a true gentleman who was an inspiration to many. Please join us for a celebration of Chad’s life on Saturday, October 29th at 2:00 pm at the Hillcrest Funeral Home in Saskatoon.
