On July 13th 2018 our ILWU Brother suffered a heart attack and spent one week in a Las Vegas hospital and on July 20th returned home.  On July 23rd 2018 while getting ready to retire for the evening Chad suffered a massive heart attack and after several minutes without oxygen was rushed to Los Alamitos General Hospital where he remained in a medically induced coma for nearly two weeks.

Today Chad is still not able to speak or do much more than squeeze his mothers hand but he is alive and for that we are grateful.  Earlier,  today Chad was transferred to a long term skilled nursing facility in Glendale, where  the doctors await Chad's return to full consciousness for which there is no time frame but the current best guess is months.

Chad is a beloved Union Brother of 14 years (casual).  Unfortunately, as a casual his access to health insurance is minimal at best and currently it is unclear what that coverage is or if it even covers rehabilitation when that time comes.

Chad is a graduate of Long Beach Wilson High.  He is the proud father of a beautiful 7 year old boy Noah.  He is a cherished son of Lynda & Mick and little brother of Troy.  All of Osage, IA.  Chad is also the revered big brother of Josh who lives in O.C.  Needless to say all this is taking quite a toll on a loving and dedicated family.

Chad is also a beautiful, incredibly kind soul and loyal house music loving friend.

I am asking for donations on behalf of Chad and his family to defray the immense cost of Chad's continuing medical care and rehabilitation and to help offset some of the costs associated with allowing his mother to remain by his side until the Chad we know and love fights his way back to health.
