What do you get when a Black-led creative organization has an idea to develop a Silicon Valley for Creatives during a global pandemic and culture-shifting racial protests?
You get C.H.A.C.E (Chattahoochee Hills Arts & Culture Ecosystem) Village. This project speaks to the importance of community building, sustainability, partnership and ownership amongst creatives. In addition to, providing a safe space for all creatives; particularly black creatives.
Founded by Atlanta Creative, and placemaking expert, Tyree Smith and the WOLF Ideas Group, CHACE Village is a beautifully wooded 73-acres of land with a fully stocked 5-acre lake, and a beautiful Bed & Breakfast space. Nestled in gorgeous Chattahoochee Hills, Fulton County, Georgia; only 20-minutes from the world’s busiest airport.
Our mission is to intentionally build sustainable and safe places that our city’s Creatives can not just exist in, but THRIVE in.
We want to fulfill the need to develop a physical and consistent space that will allow the creative economy in our city to elevate in a unique environment that provides creatives with the skills, tools and resources necessary to take their careers to the pinnacle of their desires.
Phase 1, included securing the land, surveys of the property, required insurance policies, and setting up utilities. For Phase 2, our organization needs to raise $75,000 within the next 90-days. This fund will support us with necessary property operating expenses to get us through the remainder of the year.
