Help me get to Dr. Karen Herbst please

Hello everyone!
My name is Karen Jarrell-Robinson. I'm a 34 year old, married, mother of three wonderful children. Jahmeer is 15. Justin is 12, and Jasmine will be 10 in just four short days. My family means the world to me, and I want to do everything in my power to make sure that I'm here to see my grandchildren.
Let me tell you a bit about why I've started my gofundme page. When I gave birth to my first son it was one of the most amazing times of my life. Unfortunately, my health began to spiral not long after and it's been in steady decline ever since. Diagnosed with Lupus in 2009 I thought I'd finally found the answer to what illness plagued me. After all, it took nearly a decade to get that answer. I was certain that the diagnosis was correct, and complete. However, I began to notice that the medications prescribed to me weren't keeping all of the symptoms at bay. I noticed painful nodules that had grown under my skin, in the subcutaneous tissue. They were painful to touch, even lightly. I kept mentioning them to my doctors and no one seemed to care.
Fast forward to present day and I have more nodules than I can count. They're everywhere, except my scalp and soles of my feet. The pain that they cause is unbelievable. Through research I came across a doctor who specializes in diseases of the adipose tissue, such as Dercum's disease. My doctor agrees that my symptoms fit with that diagnosis, but admits that she doesn't know how to treat me, or who to refer me to because she doesn't know anything about Dercum's disease. The specialist whom I believe holds the key to me having a somewhat normal life, being a better mother to my children, and wife to my husband is located in Tucson, AZ. I, however live on the East coast in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately my family doesn't have the money to cover the travel, lodging, medical expenses, etc at this time because I am currently out of work due to my illness. That is why I am calling on family, friends, or anyone who can help me to raise the funds to make it to Dr. Karen L. Herbst.
Since 2001 I have dedicated my life to taking care of others as I worked as a paramedic. I've held the hands, wiped the tears, and supported countless numbers of people in their darkest hours. People that were total strangers to me but we were connected by one common thread...we were all plagued with some kind of illness. Now I'm asking for someone to hold my hand and to help me through my darkest hours. I'm asking for help to get to the only person who might be able to help me. Please make a donation to my cause.
