Mugged and lost paycheck

**** Update: People have been amazing and donated beyond my wildest thoughts.  To everyone who donated to help me you are a godsend and you all have made me have much more faith in humanity.  I couldn't ask for better friends and family. ****

On Friday the 1st of August, I had withdrawn my paycheck from the bank so I could pay rent the following morning.  After going to meetup and having dinner at Urban Spoon in Irving, I was mugged at gun point.  Luckily, all he took was my wallet and not my life.  However, this has put me in a very bad situation because I now no longer have the money for rent this month. 

I hate asking for handouts and feeling indebted to people but I don't see any other way I can survive this predicament.  Help from you will keep a roof over my head.
