It takes a Village

Family, Friends and our Village,

As I am sure many of you are aware little miss Paityn has been hospitalized at Randall Children’s hospital in Portland. As of right now she is still on a ventilator (life support) Though she is making improvements it is still going to be a long recovery. Again as many know Rosemarie has 2 other little ladies that are in need of tons of support, both mentally, physically and financially.

Paityn is 7 yrs. old she is the life of the party and always smiling. She has 2 sisters that miss her terribly and a mom that has always showed amazing strength and resilience. Thankfully all the girls inherited both of those traits.

Rosemarie is a single mother of 3, works harder than most and always lends a hand when she can. Please help us come together and even if you can’t donate please take a moment to share. We are figuring out what the next steps are on the road to recovery and how to manage everything moving forward.

There has already been an abundance of love and support. We cant explain the gratitude we have nor the overwhelming love we have received.

Below are the updates as we have received them.

Tuesday February 4th
WE HAVE ANSWERS! RHINO/ENTEROVIRUS. It's a bad case but now we know! No meds for a virus, but we got this! Still being very cautious because no promises she won't get worse before better BUT we know! Still plan to be on ventilator until 100% oxygen but looks like a light at the end of the tunnel

Wednesday February 5th
She is more of an average 120 heart rate vs the 145 to 150 when we brought her in, so maybe antibiotics or maybe since we are controlling her body and oxygenAnd we still have no idea what happened. Cultures take 48 hrs to grow, so they are treating for both bacterial and viral infections as well as asthma. They have to use an immediate catheter every 6 to 8 hrs just in case since a normal one is more susceptible to bacteria. Organs are looking good though Stable as far as consistent oxygen levels, blood pressure and heart rate yes. But the ventilator is providing 60% to 90% at times of her oxygen and she is at a 93 so still really struggling.

Thursday February 6th
They are transitioning her to a more alert coma and she was able to open her eyes. It is honestly just as overwhelming if not more because now she fights the ventilator and they had to put her in restraints. She is also a little jerky since her muscles have had no movement
