Dwight's Stroke Recovery Fund

Donación protegida
Dwight suffered a stroke on Friday July 25th. Although immediate treatment with clot busting drugs was started, the clot did not dissolve as hoped; subsequent swelling, brain shift and bleeding have been serious complications. His insurance has a $10,000 out of pocket before they will cover his care.

Many of you know Dwight - he's exuberant, loving, positive, funny and a great friend who will help you at any time. Now Dwight, his wife Angel,  his sons, their wives, and grandchildren need our help. Working quickly will make all the difference.

The portions of the brain affected include those that detect sensory stimuli ( hot/cold touch injury) and motor control,
(movement of left arm, face and leg). He is fully aware and his cognitive function is normal, but there are some visual perception abnormalities.
He has been given a high chance at complete recovery if aggressive treatment and therapy is provided quickly within the next few weeks.

This is the important part and why the family is asking for your financial assistance.

Here's a little background on Dwight if you haven't had the pleasure of meeting him:
Dwight entered the U.S. Navy right out of high school, where he served aboard the USS Harry W. Hill and the USS Racine. He has an adoring wife, two sons, two daughter-in-laws and three grandchildren. He began acting in 2007 and is a current SAG-AFTRA member. When he is not on set, Dwight enjoys martial arts, (he is a black belt in Tang Soo Do and studied with Master Johnson). He does volunteer work for CHOC, various grade schools, martial art classes for kids, scholarships, and is involved with Read Across America. Dwight enjoys sailing and spending time with family and friends. Dwight is also involved in the Pirate and Western reenactment communities, breathes fire and can fix any problem, mechanical or otherwise.
He is a Dr. Doolittle with the animal kingdom, and always looks on the bright side of life.

Thank you all for your time, love, compassion and funds. Dwight would also love cards, emails and words of encourangement during his recovery. You can find him at https://www.facebook.com/dwight.v.coleman?fref=ts
