Ayven is almost 10 years old and suffers Rett Syndrome, which is much like having MS, Cereral Pasly, Alzheimer's, Parkinson and severe epilespy all in one child.
She cannot talk, even though she tries so hard to communicate but her body won't let her make it happen. Her hands don't listen to what she wants them to do, making it hard to point or gesture.
She is prisoner to this syndrome, but, is so bright, so deep and so very strong.
She suffers from multiple seizures daily, breathing cessation that she is aware of and terrified of, and intense frustration from not being able to tell us what she NEEDS- let alone what she wants.
The Tobii Eye Gaze will enable her to actually live- to be free. To be able to tell us how we can help her... and more importantly give her the ability to express who she is while on this planet.
The Eye Gaze tech is new, and of course through the roof expensive, we can't afford it on our own, and hope you will find it in your heart to help her have a voice and REBEL against the WARDEN!
Please help us give her the ability to ask for what she needs, tell us what she thinks and to let us know that she loves us, because I gotta tell you- we'd give anything to hear it.
