Rescue Korean Dogs

Hello All!  I am raising money to be used for 3 purposes. 1) To help rescue, treat, and train a beautiful samoyed mix who has been chained her whole life and is now heartworm positive. 2) To help Ginger, a soon to be 3-legged dog, get to her new home, and 3) give what is leftover to the Korean emergency fundrasing fund.

Korean animal welfare is lacking.  While the country has passed laws to help protect animals, unfortunately they are rarely followed and/or enforced.  It is very common to see dogs chained outside with or without shelter, living in their own feces and eating rice and water.  Dog farms are also rampant as dogs are used for breeding and food. 

There are people trying to help though.  Most rescues are done by individuals or small groups.  These individuals and groups give tirelessly of their own time and money to help Korean animals. There are rescue organiztions but these have a difficult time as funding is VERY hard to come by, as is help and care for the animals.

Since I have lived in Korea (moved here January 2013) I have tried to help as much as possible rescuing several dogs and donating money.  I am soon going home, by October 1, and want to help these 2 dogs whom I have become attached to and help the people left here on the ground continuing to do rescue work.
