Marcus Nielsen's family and friends are uniting to raise money to help with Marcus' battle with Leukemia. Please show your support in any way that you can.
Marcus is a funny, handsome and loving 8 year old boy.
In early June, 2014, Marcus was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) at Texas Children's Hospital, Houston. Shortly after Marcus underwent chemotherapy for a month in order to fight the Leukemia unfortunately the treatment didn’t have the desired effect and the team of Doctors determined it to be T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL), a much more aggressive and resistant type of Leukemia that requires a month long intense chemotherapy followed by a bone marrow transplant. In early July Marcus is admitted to the hospital to begin the treatment, the chemotherapy consisted of the drug NELARABIN which had an unfortunate effect on Marcus and caused serious damages to vital organs and nerves and left him in a coma.
The treatment did have the desired results on the Leukemia, however, the Doctor team is certain that it is only a matter of time before the leukemia will return and they cannot continue the chemotherapy unless Marcus is out of the coma.
