CF Varsity Cheerleading: Journey to Nationals

On December 8, the varsity cheerleaders earned a bid to compete at Disney in Florida at the UCA Cheerleading Nationals. This national competition brings together teams from around the United States to compete against each other while sharing the love of cheerleading.
These 20 girls were able to create a routine in 3 short weeks of practice to compete at the Regional level in which they received a bid to compete against other Varsity Large Squad teams. They have put in long hours of practice, studying dance motions and attending tumbling classes to improve their performance.
As it is a voluntary opportunity, the expenses must be covered by the team and the individual athletes. Each girl must raise approx $1000 for a 4 night stay in Florida, a plane ticket and other accommodations.
Over the past year, the Chenango Forks Cheerleading team has won a first ever Winter STAC title in February, a D2 Large Squad Sectional title, placed 5th in the state at the State competition in March, won a first ever STAC title in October and now earned their chance to compete at Nationals.
Please consider donating money to the team’s efforts of competing at UCA Nationals for the first time in the school’s history.
