Anne's Victory Over Cancer

As many of you know, Anne was recently diagonosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. She underwent a lumpectomy and in the process they found traces of the cancer in her sentinel lymph node. Fortunately, she will be working with a wonderful medical team through UNC and will be going through a very aggressive chemo and radiation protocol. Triple Negative Breast Cancer can be one of the hardest to treat. Her oncologist has decided to attack the cancer full force.
This treatment requires a full six months of chemo and radiation combined. During this time, it is unlikely that Anne will be able to work much. She will also have to live in North Carolina with her sister Jane. Though many of us prepare for an emergency, few of us can prepare for the kinds of unsurmountable bills that come with a six month loss of income and incredibly high medical bills. Anne has dealt with this news in her typical way, with a positive attitude, and with humor. Despite working really hard to maintain a positive attitude, Anne is deeply concerned and stressed about having to leave her home along with her two cats. Fortunately, her Maltese, Marley can go with her, but the cats have to stay behind. Part of the contributions from this Go Fund me account will be used to pay the significant expense of a caretaker who will be taking care of Anne's cats. Knowing that her cats will be well cared for in her absence will alleviate some of the sadness and stress she has about leaving them behind.
All of your contributions will be sent directly to Anne to dispense as she sees fit. She can use it to pay medical bills and to pay bills while unable to work. We will also use the funds to take care of her home and cats while she is gone.
