My name is Cev’n Thomas. I am a member of the Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX. I am currently seeking to raise support to serve in Mexico City (2018- 2020) as a missionary for 2 years as a part of the Adventures in Missions (AIM) program in Lubbock, TX, which is a part of the Sunset International Bible Institute.
AIM is a 3-year program beginning with intense study of God’s word for 8 months of Bible training, followed by a 18-24-month internship as an apprentice missionary. As an AIM student, I will be sent with a team of four others to Mexico City to work with and learn from missionaries there. While in Lubbock, the last few months will focus on preparing me for Mexico.
I would first like to ask that you add me to your prayer list in the process of me going through this program. Because of the intensity of the program, I will not be able to have a job to pay for my living and travel expenses. I am asking for help from my Christian family, friends, and churches who are interested in missions to help me raise the money to live and serve God. I have to raise $3000 to get down to Mexico, this goal is to cover flight, rent, and other basics in moving down to Mexico.
It is my great desire to be an effective and equipped servant of God. I want to know His word, and be able to teach others about Him. There are people everywhere who do not know who Jesus is, and I want to be a part of changing that. There are also people who just need someone to care about them and I want to be a part of their lives and help in anyway that I can. Whatever you can do, thank you.
