Hello,
My name is Leslie Nicolas I am currently a senior in High School & just last year on when we thought it would be a great year, my family was split apart. On March 22, 2017 my brother Oliver Acevedo & I were awakened by my mother screaming and crying " Se llevaron a tu papa," "They took your father." We were in shock and immediately broke down in tears. How could they do this? We never expected this, it was just like any other day but turned out to be a day that completely changed our lives.My father Cesar Nicolas Cruz was on his way to drop off my mother to work when they were pulled over. Unfortunately it was ICE & they took my father away. Ever since my mother hasn't seen him & he has been detained at Otay Mesa Detention Center , which is almost year . My father is such a hard worker, such a loving and caring man. He's the type of guy that would take off the shirt he was wearing just to give it to someone in need. My dad is someone I truly look up to. With my father being the head of the household, my mother had to step up & take his place. My mother wakes up early everyday to take the bus to work, she works cleaning houses. Which doesn't pay much and is really tiring. There's day when I don't even get to see her until the next morning because she is working as much as she can. She has worked her but off to always have a meal on the table, to be able to pay all the bills and so we are never in need. My father has had several courts, but there hasn't been good news . My father will be having a court on March 8 & this court will be so that my father may be released through bail bond.There are many expenses that need to be paid.With this being my senior year , I will be graduating, going to senior events and it would break my heart that my father wouldn't be there by my side. I've learned from him to be a hard worker, and finishing high school and having him there to hug me & congratulate me & cheer for me . That means everything to me. So if you could make any donations to help bring my Dad home , my family & I would be incredibly grateful.
