Cerroni Family Help
This fall a very unexpected event happened in the life of Joey & Kate Cerroni. Kate had a severe allergic reaction to a medication and developed a very rare, serious condition called DRESS syndrome. In severe cases this can cause multiple system failure and death, even after the offending drug has been stopped. For this mom and wife of 37, with 2 children 10 & 7, this has begun the fight of her life-- literally.
Kate has been in ICU at the Medical University of SC since Oct 16th. She has suffered many complications including being on total life support, having multiple surgeries to insert devices to do the work of her heart, dialysis, and too many things to mention here. Through it all, her husband Joey and surrounding family & friends have believed and trusted God for a COMPLETE recovery.
Currently, she is AMAZING doctors as she continues to improve. One set back that Kate is facing is that she currently has no feeling from the waist down. Medical staff are working to get her stabilized enough to do a MRI to try and determine the cause, and they are unsure if this is temporary or permanent.
They are a couple of ways that you can help. First you can pray for Kate's healing. We believe that the prayers of so many people (some of which have never even met Kate & Joey) are the reason that she is alive today. And we are trusting and believing together that the work that God has begun in her body will be brought to completion.
The second way that we can support this family is financially. Neither Kate or Joey have been able to work for months. This unexpected loss of income can be devastating. On top of normal monthly bills to keep their family going, they will also have to make their home accessible for Kate once she begins the next step of her recovery.
