Ron Stutzman Car Accident

For Ron Stutzman

Dear friends of mine's father was in a bad car accident on 7/30/2014. This is from a post of Adam and Amber Stutzman:

This morning, dad was involved in a head on crash on Silverton road. Per the doctors, both vehicles involved had done their job in protecting the people involved even with all the injuries involved. Two cars going, say 55mph, head on. That's 110mph. God protected b...oth and as we continue to pray for dads recovery, we also pray for the other family as this is going to be a rough road ahead for both families.
Silverton Fire responded and with great care helped in the transport of him to Salem Hospital. Through the circumstances, phone calls were made and family was able to arrive quickly. God placed amazing nurses and doctors to get him stable. Stabalizing him was hard. His blood pressure kept dropping as more meds were administered so there was a fine line they were walking between keeping the pain down and pressure up.
He has both femurs broken above the knees. One shattered. The other was also broken up at the hip so 3 breaks. He has major bruising on the chest and bruised lungs along with a broken sternum all from going through the air bag, hitting the steering wheel and breaking the steering wheel. Also has multiple broken ribs. We also found out he broke his back at T5.
He was going to go to surgery but the OR was full. They decided to life flight him to Emanuel Hospital in Portland. Once he arrived, CPR had to be administered. He was revived and couldn't go straight to surgery until he was stable. He became stable and got two thumbs up and was rushed into surgery to stabilize the femurs to stop the bleeding and bring his blood pressure up. About 2 hours later, he was stable and ready for his MRI on his back. Bad news came that they were not going to do the MRI but wait until the morning. Bummer but we know God is in control. As we waitEd to go see him, they came back out to say they decided to go ahead and do the MRI tonight. Now we wait to hear the news about his back.
Answered prayer all day long. Thank you SO much for keeping him, my mom and the whole family in your prayers. It is going to be a huge road ahead but all we can do now is past and check each step off as we continue to move forward step by step. We will keep you updated as we can but again thank you for all the prayers. We love you all!

I am asking for prayers and also you can give by meals. They have alot of family coming in.
