CEPT's RaceToZero Team Entry

Donation protected
CEPT's Team Kill Bill Vol II has reached the finals this year too!  The Race To Zero is an international competition for student teams to design affordable Net Zero Energy buildings. Four students will travel  to Colorado and present their work. The competition is organized by the U.S Department of Energy.

Last year, CEPT's Team won the first place in this competition's Urban Single Family home category.  The competition has seen the best universities and colleges across the world participating and thriving towards design excellence. These teams represent the future of high performance green buildings, building science, construction, engineering, and design excellence.

The CEPT team (Team Kill Bill Vol II) has designed a Kendriya Vidyalaya elementary school in Jodhpur.  This school will be an affordable model for a building that is regenerative for the environment and will meet the Living Building Challenge goals.  It will be zero energy, zero water and improve indoor air quality beyond ambient air in Jodhpur to meet WHO standards.

The final presentations are at the end of April and the team has developed details of all building systems, demonstrated performance with simulations, and done cost estimation and financial calculations to demonstrate affordability.

The total cost of the trip for 5 team members who have been invited by DOE to represent the team is USD 12,000.  Your support through this campaign will pay for their accommodation and local US travel  of USD 5,000.
