Central Kentucky ATCS Project

After the successful deployment of an ATCS and voice feed network on the NS Pocahontas Division, we are looking to bring ATCS coverage back to the lines through Central Kentucky, including the CSX Cincinnati-Corbin Subdivision and the Norfolk Southern's CNO&TP 1st and 2nd Districts. After the original server was taken private by the original custodian, we hope to bring back coverage with a new server network.

As of January 2019, we have one set of servers online in northern Kentucky covering the northern end of these lines. We have received permission to install a server and radio feed in the Georgetown and Paris areas to cover each line, and are working on finding more locations towards Danville, Corbin, and Burnside. Our eventual hope is to be able to expand into central Tennessee on the KD Subdivision (of which we have coverage in the Knoxville area) and the CNO&TP 2nd District.

By donating to this fund, this will help us acquire new computer systems, radios, antennas, coax, and other miscellaneous parts necessary to put a receive server together. Anything received over cost will be saved and used to increase inventory, as well as to be donated for our remote control software.

We appreciate any support that we can get from the railfan community & we hope that this will help making train chasing a lot funner & easier for all!
