A Hearing Dog for Addisyn

Addisyn has been approved for a hearing dog!  A hearing dog will alert her to her name being called, wake her up with her alarm, tell her when someone comes in the door, alert her to the smoke or house alarm, let her know when the microwave oven is done, and many other things.  Addisyn can't hear without her implants on at all, such as when she sleeps, is in the shower, or wants some quiet time.  This is also the case when she is at camp and her implants break or she forgets to take her charger, which both happened this summer at two different camps!  Also, a hearing dog has been shown to help improve self-confidence, self-esteem, and independence in deaf children.  This is a wonderful opportunity for Addisyn....now we just need to raise the money!  Thank you for any and all help you can provide!  Pass this information on to other people you think would like to help.
