Lisa's Solo Cello Tour

Hello!  I have prepared a beautiful and engaging solo cello program and am planning a multi-city tour to the southeastern part of the U.S. in the beginning of August.  Right around the corner!  Why, you ask?  Well.  Have you ever been to a classical music concert?  Were you allowed to talk, eat, drink, or ask questions in the middle of it?  NO?  Engage the performer before the after-party? NO??  Have you ever had the opportunity to sit mere feet away from a live accoustic musical performance--so close that you can feel the vibrations of the notes through the floor and up into your chair?  NO???  Have you ever felt intimidated about attending a concert because you are not sure what the rules are or how you are supposed to act? YES????  These are all things I am working to change!  Classical music is alive and well and incredibly relevant to our every-day goings on, whether we realize this or not.  I am here (and there, and hopefully everywhere soon!) to put a FACE to the experience, words to the expression, answers to the questions and inspiration to the genre.  Join me!  

This campagin is for tour-related expenses:  rental car and gas, food, some lodging (though I am hoping to mostly couch/floor surf), attendance to my normal life while I'm away (rent, housesitter, work I will miss), cello insurance, a bow rehair for a much more humid climate than that from which I am coming, and any incidentals (including the gofundme and processor fees, which run about 8.5% of the total).  

I have so much excitment for what I am doing--bringing classical music to small and intimate settings, breaking that "fourth wall" between performer and listener, and having an opportunity to connect with people I don't necessarily know about my deepest passion, perhaps  helping them realize they might have a passion for it, too!  I truly feel that THIS is what it means to LIVE MY PURPOSE, and I can't wait to share it.  Visit one of my YouTube channel videos for a sample of the program at https://youtu.be/vhfXMTVxwoA.
