Sarah Lawrence MFA Program

Dear Friends, Family, and Patrons of the Arts,

The good news is, I got accepted to an excellent school where I will have the chance to develop my poetic voice and continue my mission to help women heal through the literary arts. The bad news is, Sarah Lawrence College is an expensive school with very limited funding, so I am reaching out to you for your support.

While at SLC, I plan on working with Right-to-Write, a program that helps women in prisons who have suffered with substance addiction issues leading to their incarceration. I would like to continue the work I have started at Women's Wisdom, a group in Sacramento that strives to help empower women through the arts. My long-term goal is to serve women who, for one reason or another, have fallen through the cracks. Poetry has the ability to strengthen voices and make sense of complex difficulties, and I feel sure that this is my life's calling. 

Every little bit helps. New York City is expensive, but I believe that if something is meant to be, the means will come. I am gracious for your thoughtful consideration of this cause. Donations will be met with updates & a chapbook of my work.
