Family Looses Everything To Floods

The Alfaros are a proud family. Leandro and Margarita are the Patriarch and Matriarch of this wonderful clan. Sadly, recent floods from tropical storm Nate has left Costa Rica decimated and Leandro and Margarita’s home completely destroyed. Although the flood has devastated the area, everyone is well in body but the family is separated by the waters and waits to reunite. I mentioned that they are proud and large family and Leandro and Margarita’s home served as a gathering place and the center of all family holidays. Perhaps you’ve visited The lovely and friendly country of Costa Rica. It is very peaceful and beautiful so it is jarring that such devastation could touch such a serene country. Leandro and Margarita live in a farming community that was built by Standard Fruit Company (Dole) but the company has long since left. Leandro, currently retired, was the school master of the community school. He has given so much to the community but the area is very poor and I fear there are few resources to help the Alfaros rebuild their lives. There is so much bad and evil and happening in the world right now and so many needs reach us each day. My friends, all I hope for is that this request reaches you for your consideration. Celenia Fritts will be the beneficiary and she will oversee all work that needs to be done for her family home and help her parents need. Specifically, repairs to the ceiling, bathroom, and kitchen to make them usable and safe. Your thoughts, prayers, concerns, and gifts are all greatly appreciated.  I am Greg Fritts, of Kansas City Missouri, and I’m raising funds for my wife, Celenia, and my mother and father-in-law, Margarita and Leandro Alfaro in Palmer Sur, Osa-Puntarenas, Costa Rica. The funds will be used to renovate the family home after flood damage. Specifically making the bathroom, kitchen, and main room usable and safe. The funds will be received by Celenia Fritts and destributed to Leandro and Margarita by check via mail. Leandro, Margarita, will contract workers to perform construction and renovation.
