Celebration of Life for Christian

On November 28, 2017, Christian Cochlin passed away, just 8 days after turning 40. Firstly, we would like to thank EVERYONE for ALL the love and support we have received during the hardest times my family has EVER had to endure. It has helped, and added some comfort, as we come to terms with him no longer being here. He was taken from us WAY too early and has left his family, friends, co workers – basically anyone who knew him - in shock, disbelief, and sadness. He was a person of incredible spirit and an amazingly generous heart.
After he passed away, my parents did not want to hold a service as it was too raw and emotional for them, they just lost their first born son. They also chose not to because of the time of year, with everyone going into holiday mode. They have since driven back to Williams Lake, BC so they can begin to process and mourn his loss.
In speaking with them, as time has moved on slightly, they now wish that they, along with family, friends and coworkers can all get together and remember him – as a group. To laugh and reminisce, and collectively pay our respects to him. We would like to do so come the spring time – this way it will be easier for my parents to drive down to the lower mainland, along with family and friends who live afar (it will give them time to plan).
Since he passed away, my family has received numerous offers of assistance and aide in any way. We have politely declined – though generous – we did not want to inconvenience anyone. Now as we go through the stages and wanting to put together a Celebration of Life, my family is seeing this is a cost that we were not prepared for. So we are kindly asking if anybody would like to help contribute, it would mean the world to us – so we can, again collectively as group, try to find some closure and to celebrate Christian and the gift he was to our lives.
