Celebration of Life for Adam Capers

Donation protected
Adam Christopher Capers was born on December 22, 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio to Darrel Capers, Sr. and Debra Coleman, just eight minutes ahead of his identical twin brother Alan.  He departed this life on July 3, 2017 in Okinawa, Japan at the age of 48.  His other siblings include a brother Darrel Jr.; and four sisters: Kayla, Loreal, LeAndra, and Cheyenne.  Adam was a 1988 James Ford Rhodes High School graduate; he attended his beloved alma-mater Capital University in Columbus, Ohio and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science in 1996.  A devoted Clevelander, he can tell you anything about the city and is a die-hard fan of the Indians, the Browns, and Cavaliers.  He also was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Adam married his wife Stacey in 2000 and their union produced two children, Arielle and Evan.  In 2008, the couple appeared on Season 6 of NBC's, The Biggest Loser. The family joined Word Alive Church International in Manassas, VA in 2010.

Adam’s favorite thing to do was to light candles on the weekends.  For him, it created a peaceful environment to relax and unwind. In fact, he loved all kinds of lights – the family home was peppered with nightlights, lanterns, and lamps.  He truly brightened every space he entered with a warm, friendly smile.  Everyone loved Adam and he will be missed dearly.

Adam was always known as an all-around great guy with a big heart.  He was known for his generousity and sweet spirit.  His family is raising funds to cover the costs of his memorials in VA and OH.  His wife will be in charge of his final expenses.
