My name is April Smalls and I am soliciting your Prayers and your help on behalf of a VERY close family member of mine ( 1st cousin) Her name is Bobbi J. Joseph- Hunter From Boynton Beach Fla, and she just lost her Granddaughter named Daniesha!
I'm going to share my lil cuzn Daniesha's story.
You see, On Sept 9th, 2017 , Niesha was the Innocent Victom of a Very senseless and Violent shooting! The incident was so life threatening to where she was rushed into Emergency surgery. After the surgery, The Doctors told her Mother, Grandmother and Family that "she was not going to make it, and to start making funeral arrangements b/c there was nothing else they could do"!!
Her Grandmother refused to accept this and, she kept Praying! Daniesha was in a coma for 2 weeks and, eventhough it was painful for them to see her that way, they kept praying and trusting God!
When she came outta the coma, her family was right by her side but, because of the tremendous damage from the gunshot she stayed in the Hospital for MONTHS! She also needed a Heart Transplant and intestinal transplant. She was finally released in 2018 with a Stomach drain, ENGY tubes, a feeding tube and a permanent access line to get her daily nutrition!! Niesha saw this as a 2nd chance from God. She kept Thanking him, sharing her testimony and kept fighting!
Since the incident she had constantly been in and out of different Hospitals due to complications. By this time she had already had 10 or more surgeries, 12 ENGY tubes 3 Stomach drains and had dropped down to 70 pounds! She kept her Faith, kept Praying and she kept fighting It was by the Grace of God along with her determination, her supportive , Loving Grandma Bobbi Jean, Loving Mom Teresa and Family, She was able to get off the TPN and was eating on her own she had gotten her weight up to 115 pounds! Niesha's words were " yes my body was banged up, but I Thank God For being Alive". On Friday May 31st, She had to be taken back to the Hospital and admitted.
It deeply saddens me to say that on Sunday, June 2, 2019 My lil cousin,Daniesha at the tender age of 23 passed from ongoing complications! No more suffering for baby girl! This has left the Family devastated to say the least!
Unfortunately, because of a Financial hardship on my Florida Family due to the uncovered medical expenses , out of pocket travel, Etc...Etc.. Her life Insurance policy lapsed and, was unable to be reinstated because of her condition!!
The State of Florida is willing to pay for Her "Cremation only" And that's something NO FAMILY should have to endure whether they are here locally or long distance So, on behalf of them and myself I ask that you all PLEASE help us give Niesha a proper burial!! Everyone loved Niesha! She was a smart, loving, kind, talented all around young lady. She loved her Family and Friends. She and I spent a lot of time together. While living in Florida, She would call me her " Untie" but, She was my lil cuzn. Her and my girls would walk to School together everyday. So, this is a very hard hit for Me but right now, All of her family is suffering from this tragic loss. FAMILY AND FRIENDS, ANY AMOUNT THAT YOU CAN GIVE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED and every cent will go TOWARDS her burial! I am in touch with her Grandmother, my 1st cousin everyday, all throughout the day being updated. As of this morning, There hasn't been any arrangements. They are working on that end and, I'm working on this end in South Carolina! This is my cousin on my Deceased Mothers side and YES, I will be traveling to Florida to be with them at my own expense So, while I solicit Prayers for them, I too ask you to keep me in Prayer as we prepare to join them.
