Celebration of Angela Guarin

It is so rare to find someone that lights up a room the way that Angela did. Her infectious energy and enthusiasm for life was her signature characteristic: it was something we all desired to have more of in our lives. People learned to know Angela well because she put people at ease, with her humor, her smile, her constant stream of appreciation and recognition of the good in people.


She was mama to 5 amazing humans (and g'ma to beautiful grandbabies as well!)...her family has always been her absolute joy: the thing that made her universe go 'round. She was their biggest cheerleader and fiercest protector. She built a home of warmth and joy, and it turned into a place that both family and friends (and lots of animals!) felt comfortable and safe in. 


Her journey through the last 7 years was one that tested her fortitude, and the strength of her family. This tortuous path led them through ups and downs that not many could handle, but Angela (with her husband Jorge, her parents Judy and Harry, and the kiddos by her side) managed to tackle it with the optimism that was so clearly her nature. She managed to smile when the rest of us were unable to; her strength was unwavering in her adamance that she was tougher than the disease that took hold of her. She was full of grace and grit when life showed her hardship...many times through. She was an angel, and now we get to feel her energy and spirit in the universe...free from pain, and existing as the bright light we all knew her as.


It is now our turn to band together to show the Guarins how much Angela means to us, and how much they ALL mean to us. We will help to raise money for the cost incurred during the battle they've been fighting, as well as help pay for the expenses that will be arising as they move forward through life.
