Celebrating the Life of Thor

Donation protected
Thor Espeland was admitted to the Ron Johnson ward at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in October 2017 when he was diagnosed with lymphoma. He underwent chemotherapy in the ward over the next 6 months which resulted in remission. The cancer returned suddenly at the end of August and Thor chose to return to the Ron Johnson ward for his final days, where he died peacefully on the 5th September 2018. (If on phone, press read more)

Throughout his treatment, Thor had nothing but the highest praise for the staff and the excellent work done on the ward – it is known as “Hotel Ron John”. They became a second family to him. The ward does amazing work for all oncology patients, providing a homely, calm, and professional environment, in which they do their utmost to make the patients feel happy and comfortable. Their care for all patients is extraordinary.

Thor requested no flowers, but donations for the Ron Johnson ward. Any donation made will be passed directly to them.
