Celebrating the life of Ryan Blair

Donation protected
Our family was devastated on Friday, February 16th, Ryan, my little brother, took his own life.  It is an absolute complete shock to our entire family. We never saw this coming. Ryan touched the lives of so many people. He had a sharp mind and was hilarious. Always knew the right thing to say. He was always able to speak his mind and give you solid advice, whether you wanted to hear it or not. He knew that saying what needed to be said was more important, because he loved the people in his life. He has so many people who love him. Ryan was such a bright young man with so much to offer.  His goal in life was to honorably serve his country. He was in the process of enlisting into the United States Marine Corps when unfortunately, 4 months ago, he was involved in a motorcycle accident. This accident ended his chances to join the military and ultimately to achieve his life goal. That realization broke his heart and his spirit. Ryan did have such a good heart and it is so very saddening to think this was the only way for him to be happy again. He was 24 years young. As his sister, I only ever saw the bright future he had ahead of him. He was so intelligent and had an incredible mind. He was an even more incredible brother. My siblings and I, not only lost our brother, but we lost our friend. My parents lost their sweet, loving baby boy. No parent should ever have to bury their child. Our hearts are shattered. He was only 24. We all had so many more memories to make with him. Ryan will be forever missed and loved.

I am asking for the help of anyone who can. We didn't see this coming and we were not prepared to have to make arrangements for him.  Anything that can be donated is very much appreciated. We are trying to get a service together as quickly as possible so we can celebrate his life. Thank you so much for all of the support and love. I will update with information about Ryan's celebration of life when we decide what to do.

Also, please do me a favor, hug your loved ones. Squeeze them tightly, and make sure you tell them you love them. You never know when it will be your last opportunity. And talk to one another. Suicide is never an easy thing to discuss, but trust me, being on this side of it, I would much rather be talking to HIM, instead of ABOUT him.

Rest in Peace, Buddy. We love you.
