On the evening of June 4, 2025, our beloved mother, grandmother, partner, and friend, Maria Antoinette Lauricella, passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was truly one of a kind — a bold, spunky, warm-hearted Italian woman whose presence could light up any room. She was fiercely loyal, full of laughter, and had a love that wrapped around you like a blanket. Her strength and devotion to her family were unmatched.

She leaves behind her daughters, Tara Chapman, Noel Miller (J Miller), and Desiree LaFrancois (Gregory Scharfenberg); her grandchildren, Paul, Justin, Christopher, Philip, J and Joseph her children’s father, Steven LaFrancois; and her beloved companion, Earl Rodgers.

In keeping with her wishes, Maria will be cremated, and we are now planning a Celebration of Life to honor the beautiful and vibrant soul she was.

We have set a goal to help cover:

• Final expenses and cremation

• A Celebration of Life gathering

• Outstanding medical expenses incurred during her final days

• Bringing Maria home to New York after cremation

• Other costs related to honoring her memory and supporting the family
