Celebrating the Life and Love of Soren

Soren William Miller blessed his delighted parents, Lisa Ihrig and Clarence Miller, with his birth on July 23, 2016.  He was a miracle and the absolute light of their lives. Friends and family were also honored to see their family grow nearly daily as posts of his growth and adventures were shared regularly on social media. They called him their "Sonshine," and all that knew them knew that he always be just that.  Soren was a pioneer in Down Syndrome awareness and advocacy. Because of him, many of us were made aware that this syndrome is not a challenge, but a gift.  There is simply no ceiling to what a person with Down Syndrome can achieve, and many times it is because people with this gift are natural and unfailing conduits of love. 


Soren passed peacefully on to his next adventure on November 20, 2019 of natural causes. This event was unexpected and heartbreaking for many.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to celebrate his beautiful life and the amazing love he showed to all.


His funeral will be held at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Tuesday November 26th at 1PM in Niles, Michigan. Please join us in this celebration if you are able. It would mean the world to us to make this remembrance as special as our Sonshine.

Soren's favorite movie was Horten Hears A Who! The lesson that Horten teaches is that EVERYONE is important, no matter how big or how small.
