<div>My name is Jose, and with a heavy heart, I'm writing this on behalf of my family to share the heartbreaking loss of my mother, Patricia Romero, who has passed at 57 years young due to a brain hemorrhage.

</div>
<div>Everything happened so suddenly. We were together at a family banquet — music playing, the evening winding down. My mother had her phone out, recording everyone on the dance floor, including me. That was just like her. It wasn't until I looked away that I felt a panicked tap on my shoulder. When I turned, she was struggling to stand. I rushed to her side, and for one brief moment, we were eye to eye — then she was fell unconscious. I held her hand until the ambulance arrived and rode with them to the ER in shock. Hours passed before a doctor came to explain her condition. By the end of that night, she was gone.

</div>
<div>My mother was a preschool teacher, and even as her health began to decline, her spirit never did. She had the most contagious laugh — the kind that carried across a room and pulled everyone in. I'd crack jokes just to hear it. Beyond the laughs, I'll miss our everyday conversations, the ones where she'd tell me about her day, a funny encounter with a stranger, or whatever creative idea she was working on. Whenever I had free time, I'd take her out — holiday décor shopping or road trips to see her mom in Phoenix. It was always easy to be with her.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>She lived for the holidays. She'd spend days decorating the house, not for the decor itself, but because she wanted us all together and happy under one roof. I always knew she had a way of making us laugh and bringing people together — I just didn't realize until now how much those moments meant, or how tightly I'd hold onto them.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Losing her this suddenly has left us with more than grief. <strong>We're now faced with the weight of funeral arrangements and planning a celebration of life that truly honors who she was.</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you're able to support us during this difficult time, we'd be grateful in ways words can't fully capture. And if giving isn't possible, even sharing this page or leaving a kind word means more than you know. Whatever you're able to offer, my family and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read about her. <strong>She deserved everything good in this world — and I hope her story reminds you to tell your own loved ones just how much they mean to you.</strong>
