At its core, the scientific method is about seeking understanding and progress without personal bias — a continuous journey of leaning in, learning, and growing together. I am proud to be a part of the scientific community, even as I recognize there are so many who are more accomplished, more experienced, and more knowledgeable than I am.

Lisa was more than a mentor and a dear friend — she was a brilliant scientist, a fiery spirit, and someone who exemplified integrity and dedication. When she passed away, a group of us established a small scholarship in her name at SWIC to support students in the MLT program, carrying on her legacy of passion, excellence, and love of learning.
