Hailey Kimmons’ life unexpectedly ended far too soon on June 13, 2019. There are no words to describe how devastating this loss is for Hailey’s family and our Lafayette community.
Hailey was a kind soul, sweet and caring, looking out for others. Hailey had just finished her sophomore year at Acalanes High School. Hailey was proud to be a founding member of the first Black Student Union at Acalanes. Hailey loved poetry and photography. You may have seen her riding around town on the “longboard” skateboard that she actually made herself!
Funds raised will be used to pay for a Memorial Celebration of Hailey’s life and the unforseen final expenses. Any remaining funds will go to help the family through this difficult time.
As a friend and neighbor of Hailey’s family, I have offered to help them with the financial aspects of this difficult time, which include this gofundme page and helping them navigate through funeral and/or burial expenses. The family also will be planning a memorial celebration of Hailey’s life, details of which will be added to this post as they develop.
