On 2-6-2025, our world started to turn upside down when we found out that Sandi's treatment was no longer working. Doctors suggested that we start to get her comfortable in hospice and start to make her comfortable. They also gave her an expected time of 1-3 days. Her son Brandon has been working a job overnight to save up to get his car fixed, and once we heard about this, he realized he would need to put that money towards his mother's cremation and celebration of life. We've got some money to get started with, but we have realized that we're going to need to ask for some donations from family, friends, and whoever may be able to help us beyond that.
Now, it's Super Bowl Sunday, and we're trying to make plans and figure out where to even start. We're lost and have never gone through this. But we know it's all going to cost money.
Cremation, transportation, prayer cards, a venue, food/drinks for the celebration, and little things along the way.
We've watched this process with Sandi, and it hurts. But we've realized that she has made a huge impact on SO many people. And we want to have the chance for everyone to get together in her memory somewhere in McHenry County, close to where she grew up and called home for as long as I've known her.
Anything will be greatly appreciated and put to good use immediately.
Thank you for reading this story about an amazing woman we call "Mom"
Much blessings, Brandon and Taylor.
